GTA 5 Returns To Xbox Game Pass

Among the best action-adventure game globally is Grand Theft Auto 5, developed by Rockstar North and later published by Rockstar Games. The game was set within the fictional state of San Andreas, located in the Southern part of California. The single-player is tasked with the following three characters: Michael De Santa, a retired bank robber; Franklin Clinton, a street gangster; and Trevor Philips, an arms smuggler, and drug dealer.

The three characters commit heists while being put under a lot of pressure from a crooked government agency and authoritative criminals. The game’s design helps players roam freely in the open world of San Andreas’ countryside and the imaginary city of Los Santos based on Los Angeles.

The game has been on Xbox for a while ever since it was developed. However, on 7th May 2020, the game was not available for Pass subscribers. GTA V, however, is one of the most selling video games for a certain reason: it is a good game with a tremendous, crime and madness-filled operation with a diverting and addictive online mode, GTA Online.

The game has sold around 120 million copies and revenue exceeding the $6 billion mark being generated ever since it was launched in 2013. For a long time now, the game has not been available on Xbox Game Pass. Once a game leaves Game Pass, one can no longer access it, unlike Xbox Games with Gold.

For players who decided to continue playing the GTA V in the past months, they have had to find a copy retailing for around $20.  The game lovers who were already addicted to the game had no otherwise but to purchase copies of the game.

On 8th April 2021, the game was re-introduced to Xbox Game Pass, xCloud. Over 50 xCloud Games can now support touch controls. One can now play Grand Theft Auto 5 at no extra cost for those with Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. The GTA was initially launched on Xbox 360 and PS3. After almost a year, the game is back on Xbox. According to Microsoft, the game will be available on xCloud.

Microsoft announced the return of the GTA V via a blog post. Thanks to the expanding GTA Online services, the game boasts a massive player base keeping players hooked. The Xbox console owners will now get access to the game for free as long as they are members of the Xbox Game pass, in line with the company rules.

The game was removed from the Xbox Game Pass and got replaced by Red Dead Redemption. According to Microsoft, the game will now be available on the company’s cloud game-streaming service, xCloud, which allows players to play their favorite games using almost any device without installing the games.

xCloud is currently available to players with devices running on Android. The service has been integrated into the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. The game has a huge fan base courtesy of the ever-updated features, events, missions, vehicles, and more. Its re-introduction into the gaming industry is a big boost to fans of the game.
